L.A. is still descending into chaos as the protests against ICE agents has now devolved into riots and looting. From local jewelry stores, to Apple stores to CVS; looters were smashing through windows throughout downtown Los Angeles overnight. The LA Police Chief admitted they were overwhelmed in a press conference as they are now facing deadly threats from commercial grade fireworks, rocks and bricks. President Trump doubled the National Guard presence and deployed 700 Marines to protect federal assets and employees. Governor Gavin Newsom's response is to sue President Trump. Harrison Fields, the White House Deputy Press Secretary is with me today to give us the White House's perspective as to the chaos in L.A. and Newsom's decision to sue the president. Newsom is desperately trying to "save face" as another epic failure under his leadership plagues the state of California. Secretary of the Department of Education, Linda McMahon, is hard at work dismantling the Department of Education. The department's over bloated funding has not led to better test scores and improved our children's education and Linda is leading the charge on getting our children properly educated. Elon Musk has deleted some of his tweets about President Trump and showed support for his leadership as Los Angeles burns to the ground under Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass. It all started when Assemblyman Jose Luis Solache Jr. saw ICE agents going into a federal ICE facility in Los Angeles. As a panicked Jose started live streaming the agents, a crowd grew outside the facility until the ICE agents found themselves under attack. With encouragement from La Mayor Karen Bass, this mob grew angry and violent until absolute chaos erupted. As cars are set on fire and rocks are hurled at ICE agents and L.A. sheriff's, President Trump had finally seen enough. President Trump mobilized and federalized the California National Guard, usurping Gavin Newsom's authority. I break down the entire timeline in today's show, including Gavin Newsom, once again, proving he is a feckless leader. Penny Nance then joins me to discuss protecting girls and women in sports. The relationship between Elon Musk and President Trump has taken a turn for the worst. It started with the BBB and has nose dived into a more personal spat online. Well the big, beautiful bill is getting mixed reviews. So far, Elon Musk is the harshest critic, calling it a "pork-filled abomination." In the Senate, Ron Johnson and Rand Paul are holding the line to get spending down, Senator Johnson wants government spending back down to pre-pandemic levels. Congressman Andy Harris is the Chairman of the Freedom Caucus. Rep. Harris initially voted to pass the bill to get it through to the Senate. This time around Congressman Harris says if the Senate rolls back the spending cuts and doesn't get rid of the massive abuse in Medicaid, he and the Freedom Caucus will vote to sink the bill. Congressman Jim Jordan took NPR's CEO to task at a congressional hearing recently. Rep. Jordan exploited how they get stories wrong and have eighty seven Democratic employees and zero Republican employees. The real question is, are we finally done funding NPR and PBS as taxpayers? Democrats are all in their opposition to President Trump's big, beautiful bill. The bill would eliminate the current 1.4 million illegal immigrants receiving Medicaid benefits at the expense of American taxpayers. Funny enough, Hillary Clinton agrees that illegal immigrants should not be receiving the same benefits that American citizens are entitled to.
