As the Epstein files get released, it gets worse and worse for Democrats. Hakeem Jeffries' campaign asked Epstein for money, Stacey Plaskett texted him during a hearing, both took place after he was convicted as a sex offender. The House vote to release the Epstein files passes, now headed for the Senate. Some early bad news for Democrats, Hakeem Jeffries' campaign actually asked Epstein for money after they knew he was a convicted sex offender. President Trump signed the bill to reopen the government. Democrats got nothing they wanted out of the deal, no money for illegal aliens and no extensions on ACA subsidies. The nationwide redistricting war is in full effect as President Trump is determined to keep a Republican majority in 2026. It looks like the government shutdown is coming to an end as eight Democrats cave in and join the Republicans. Passing the continuing resolution will take 3 appropriations bills off the table, funding military construction, veterans affairs, the legislative branch and the Department of Agriculture.
