Debt Ceiling Debate and the Impending Showdown
The financial revolution is currently underway, as the global finance system is breaking apart due to excessive debt and insufficient production. I explain that when the money supply grows faster than goods and services, inflation occurs, leading to rising prices. I identify debt as a drag on production and productivity. I talk about the impending debt ceiling debate in the United States and the possibility of a technical default if a deal is not reached in time. The Republicans have offered to raise the debt ceiling by 1.5 trillion dollars, but the Democrats reject this proposal, leading to a constitutional showdown. Regardless of the outcome, I believe that massive money printing is inevitable, with the only point of contention being the extent of it.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Best of The Mark Moss Show - Government Default: A Catalyst for Change?
Welcome to the Mark Moss Show, where we talk about the decentralized revolution and how the world is changing right before our very eyes. In this episode, I talk about the government admitting that money comes from thin air, the U.S. Treasury having only two weeks of money left, why a government default seems more likely than ever, and why big problems equal big solutions. We're at the point now where the government is saying the quiet part out loud. They're admitting that they create money out of thin air. This is a big deal, because it means that the value of our money is constantly being eroded. This is a big problem, but it's also a big opportunity. Let's make the most of it." The Battle for Free Speech: How Money and Technology Are Changing the World
Welcome to the Mark Moss Show!I'm Mark Moss, and I'm here to talk about the decentralized revolution. We're living in a time of great change, and the way we think about money is no exception. Traditional currencies are centralized, meaning they're controlled by governments and banks. But decentralized currencies, like Bitcoin, are not. They're controlled by the people who use them, and they're not subject to inflation or government manipulation. In this episode, I'm going to talk about the fight over Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). I'm also going to talk about the battle over free speech, and how it's all connected.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Banking Crisis: Unveiling the Centralization of the Banking System
In this episode, I discuss the ongoing decentralized revolution and the recent banking crisis in the United States. Multiple banks have collapsed, surpassing the 2008 financial crisis. I talk about the trend towards central bank digital currencies and how it eliminates the personalized touch of local banks. The failure of First Republic Bank is a clear example of this centralization. While depositors were protected in the short term, it reinforces the dominance of big banks like JP Morgan. This consolidation has drastically reduced the number of banks in the US over the past 30 years. It's concerning how losses are socialized while profits are privatized.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
