Reb Moshe Feinstein

Rabbi Moshe Feinstein was born in the year 1895 in Uzda, near Minsk. In 1921 he became rabbi of Luban, near Minsk, where he remained until he came to the United States in 1937. In America he became the Rosh Yeshiva of Mesivta Tiferes Yerushalayim, a yeshiva in NY. Rabbi Feinstein was a dedicated and selfless leader for the Jewish people to whom anyone could approach at any time with any problem. Rabbi Moshe Feinstein was one of the last of the great leaders and sages from Europe and was a representative of the greatness the Jewish people had before the destruction of the Jewish communities during World War II. We were greatly privileged to have such a giant here in America. When he passed away in 1986 the Jewish people lost a great and caring leader and one of our last connections to the greatness of European Jewry. Zusha

Throughout the years, Zusha has gone through numerous phases of self-discovery and creative experimentation. The band itself, led by singer Shlomo Gaisin and guitarist Zacharia Goldschmiedt, is appropriately named after an iconoclastic 18th-century Hasidic master, whose teachings of radical humility and irrepressible positivity resonate deeply with the duo. With their lamplighting message of personal honesty and spiritual authenticity, Zusha seeks to sing the world awake. In their own words, their music is meant to inspire each and every person to: Be yourself, no one else can. Powered by: AMR Pharmacy

Rabbi Nosson Scherman

Have you ever pick up an Artscroll siddur or chumash or talmud etc? Ever wonder how it all began? Artscroll's origin is a wild story. Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, where his parents ran a small grocery store. Nosson Scherman attended public school, but in the afternoons joined a Talmud Torah started in 1942 by Rabbi Shalom Ber Gordon. R' Scherman worked as a rabbi (teacher) for about eight years at Torah VoDaas of Flatbush, later known as Yeshiva Torah Temimah. Afterward, he was a principal at Yeshiva Karlin Stolin of Boro Park for six years. Then his life took a drastic shift, while he was focused on chinuch, an opportunity arose to build with Rabbi Meir Zlotowitz, zt"l, what's today the world's largest Jewish publication company...Artscroll and Mesorah Publications.
