"Very common in the publishing industry pen name also known as a pseudo name, it's basically a made-up name. This is very common especially amongst the fiction market, fiction authors and publishers. When you publish your Kindle book in KDP it gives you the option of selecting the contributor for your book so you can input whatever author name you want. Oftentimes you don't even know that you are learning something or being influenced when you are listening to a story. Stories are used in marketing all the times. In this Q&A video Stefan answers a common question he gets which is -- what does think about the new Kindle unlimited program that Amazon just rolled out. "Kindle Unlimited is a program that Amazon released where customers pay every month about $10 a month and they get unlimited access to download Kindle books that are only enrolled as part of the KDP select. As a Kindle publisher when you published your book you have an option of enrolling your book in the KDP select program. That basically means that your Kindle book is exclusive only to Amazon for 90 days and then it automatically re-enrolls itself. There's just doing the very minimum. You can't do the very minimum in anything and expect for it to last long term. So if you're publishing a crappy book, doing the very minimum to market your book in Amazon reviews and all that stuff. You might make a bit of money in the short term but it's not going to last over the long term. I see this happen time and time again. It's a trap. So many people fall into it. They start making more money sure enough they increase their lifestyle expenses. They buy a nicer car, a bigger house, they buy more clothes. They start going out more, eating out more. All of a sudden because they're making more money sure enough their expenses increase to match that. One of the reasons why so many people are having financial challenges is they spend what they earn. They don't have any cushion. They're basically live paycheck to paycheck. They don't want to ruffle any feathers or have their friends or family judge them. I've been there too. Until one day, I realized that I was holding myself back from sharing my gifts with the world. Today, I promote myself openly and freely. I don't try to hide the fact that I own a blog or what my business is about. I know I have value to add in the world and am proud of everything that I create and share, so why not put it out there? Why not tell others about it? If people don't like it, then they can unfriend you and probably aren't your real "Facebook friends." It's better to find out now than later about that. I believe a friend is someone that will support you, encourage you, be proud of you, and cheer you on.
