You can choose to be happy or sad - it's all on you. But in order to be successful at mastering your emotions, you need to know exactly how our emotions work and re-condition yourself to be in control. I'm in paradise right now - Phuket, Thailand. Beautiful weather, gorgeous beaches and inexpensive cost of living - a digital entrepreneurs dream. It's my second time visiting here, the first being in 2010. At the time, I had a few years of business experience under my belt and was on a mission to figure out how to make passive income online. I was investing in courses, reading books, attending seminars, and doing EVERYTHING I could to finally breakthrough and have success. I had decided to take a leap of faith and go abroad to Southeast Asia for a few months with only one goal in mind: to make $300/month from an internet business. I still remember being at the Beijing airport during a layover, frantically writing out my goal and reasons why it was a MUST for me to achieve. I was obsessed and fully committed to making it happen, declaring that I would NOT come back to Vancouver, Canada until I had achieved it. On that trip around Southeast Asia, I worked my ass off. I wasn't there to party or meet anyone, I just lived in hostels and guest houses (with no AC - because I couldn't afford it at the time) and worked on my internet business as much as I could. It ended up being a lot of fun and very productive. I didn't have any distractions and once a week I would go on a fun adventure to take my mind off things. When I made it to Phuket, Thailand, I was working at a Starbucks day and night. It was here, that I had a huge breakthrough in my business and made my first $100 in a month.
