In this episode, Chris and Tony discuss the new PXG GEN6 line of drivers, woods, hybrids, and irons. For drivers, we get two models–the O311 and XF. For now, there is no designated "low spin" model. Aluminum Vapor is gone from the crown, and PXG is pushing the moveable weights (3 in the standard model and 2 in the XF) toward the extreme perimeter of the body. Now, on to the fairways and hybrids. We get the same two model designations as the drivers. The XF model is larger than the standard model and includes rail geometry on the sole–hopefully minimizing "fat" shots of the turf. n this episode, Chris and Tony discuss new products from Titleist, Mizuno, and Callaway. For 2023, the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1X golf balls will feature a new gradient core design, claiming to offer lower spin off drivers without sacrificing greenside spin and performance. Titleist is also dropping their T-Grind wedges and TSR hybrids. Playing "catch up" is Mizuno. They're launching two drivers, one fairway wood, and one hybrid. In this episode, Chris and Tony discuss new products from Taylormade, PING, Cobra, and Srixon. First, we have the Stealth 2: The 2nd generation Stealth is an improvement. Tony feels that Taylormade did a bit better, but by how much? Plus, it's wild how much adjust-ability it offers with a 50-gram moveable weight. Second, we have the G430: For the first time since Rapture, PING is using carbon in a driver, which they're also placing in their fairway woods and hybrids. Right now, it's only available in the LST driver variant, but we expect that to change moving forward. Third, we have the Aerojet: This year, Cobra is all about aerodynamics. The new face/body tech–PWR BRIDGE and PWR SHELL HOT FACE–have been implemented, which we should also see on every driver, fairway metal and hybrid in the Aerojet family. Last, we have the Srixon ZX Mark II: Biggest change this year is the addItion of the LS (Low Spin) model. This could help Srixon with their tour presence.
