Takeo Doi

Japanese psychoanalyst and professor emeritus in the department of neuropsychiatry at the University of Tokyo (1920-2009). Doi is renowned for his analysis of the concept of amae and its role in Japanese psychology and social behavior. He later wrote 'The Anatomy of Self,' which further explored this concept.
