Ian Robert James Jack

British literary scholar and Emeritus Professor of English Literature at Cambridge University (1923–2008). Jack was a leading authority on English literature from 1660 to 1860, with particular expertise in Romantic poetry. He was elected Fellow of the British Academy and authored numerous critical studies and scholarly editions of major English writers.
