Wednesday Wisdom: If It’s Not in Your Diary… It’s Not Getting Done Everyone says they want to get better. They want to practice more.
They want to get fitter.
They want to lower their handicap. But here’s the truth… If it’s not scheduled, it’s just a wish. The players who improve the most aren’t always the most talented — they’re the ones who are organised. They treat their improvement like an appointment, not an option. Think about it this way: You don’t “try” to show up to a lesson… you book it.
You don’t “hope” to go to work… you schedule it. So why is your improvement treated any differently? If you’re serious about getting better, start putting it in your diary:
They fail because they don’t consistently do it. So here’s a simple challenge: Open your diary right now and book your next 3 practice sessions. Not “sometime this week.”
Specific day. Specific time. Treat your game like it matters — and it will start to show.
