Dr. Trevor Cates is a nationally recognized naturopathic doctor. She is also known, as “The Spa Dr.,” and was the first woman licensed as a naturopathic doctor in the state of California, appointed by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to California’s Bureau of Naturopathic Medicine Advisory Council. She has worked with world-renown spas and sees patients in her private practice in Park City, Utah with a focus on graceful aging and glowing skin. She has been featured on The Doctors, Extra, First for Women, Mind Body Green and is host of THE SPA DR. Podcast. Dr. Cates believes the key to healthy skin is inner and outer nourishment with non-toxic ingredients. Her new book Clean Skin from Within will be released in March 2017. Dr. Cates shares with us, that as a young child she was always sick. Whether it were allergies or a low immune system, her parents were on the hunt to find the right doctors and right treatments to help cure Trevor. It wasn't until they finally landed in the Holistic Doctors office, that Trevor found the answers. From that point on, she knew she wanted to study natural medicine, to help people with their same problems. Attending and graduating from the Naturopathic Medical School in 2000, Dr. Cates has been practicing ever since. Her name “The Spa Dr.” arose from working in several world-renown spas. Although the spa members were coming in for other treatments like weight-loss, her cliental were beginning to notice that by eating healthier, they were also clearing their skin. It’s a win, win!
