(2:00) Mary's book "Alzheimer's Disease: What If There Was a Cure? The Story of Ketosis" is in its 3rd Edition with new information. Vinnie brings up how he recently noticed how many drugs were advertised during football games. (5:30) So many of the ads are ridiculous! For example, rosacea is not deadly, but the side effects of the medication can be! Why are these drugs being pushed? This is not progress! Health insurance companies should offer CGMs to people at a discount—even for free—so people can see what certain foods do to their blood. (11:15) Mary agrees: it's the perfect way to see what they are doing wrong with eating. Monitors that track blood sugar and glucose simultaneously are now available and worth the investment. They often can be used for as little as two weeks to a month to get an idea of what affects your body. The effects of society getting heavier and unhealthier are having a ripple effect.
