Trump assassination attempt, Murdoch’s succession, TikTok and Fed meeting

The Secret Service has foiled what the FBI called an apparent assassination attempt on Donald Trump, as the former president was golfing in West Palm Beach, Florida. A secret court battle over control of media mogul Rupert Murdoch’s empire begins in Nevada. TikTok and parent company ByteDance face a key court hearing on Monday in a legal battle seeking to block a law that could ban the app. And the Federal Reserve prepares for its monthly meeting with a rate cut expected.
