In Matthew 26:1–13, as the road to the cross begins, Jesus predicts His death while a woman (Mary) anoints Him with costly perfume in an act of sacrificial worship. While the disciples miss the point and the religious leaders reject the Savior, Mary demonstrates that true devotion to Christ is never wasted, no matter the cost. Her example calls believers to wholehearted worship of the One who gave everything for our salvation.
