Tharisa has a well-established track record of chrome and platinum group metals production, and is now on the cusp of delivering significant growth through a move underground at its flagship South African mine and the establishment of new lines of production from a major new Zimbabwean project. The company is keeping a tight rein on costs, even as rising commodities prices push margins up, and it's in that context that the shares have doubled over the past 12 months.
