An amateur is a person who engages in a study, sport, or other activity for pleasure rather than for financial benefit or professional reasons.
A professional is a person who follows an occupation as a means of livelihood or for gain. Show me the money!
What if you looked at your dreams in the context of amateur and professional. How would say you operate in your every day?
Are you an amateur or a professional?
I think about being a mom. Oh yes! I am definitely a professional. But as a house painter, I'm an amateur.
There are many characteristics in how we conduct ourselves in our every day. Those and even our actions can predict how long our dreams will stay in dreamland.
Let's be serious. You want to change something in your life. Most of the time, it's much easier to stay with what you know; the same ole thing!
Yet your heart wants something more and then your mind begins playing tricks on you. Those mind games are ridiculous distractions that destroy dreams daily.
If you want to make your dreams a reality, it's going to take action just like a pro.
So you might as well do it like a P.R.O.!
The K.I.S.S. ~ Do it like a P.R.O.!The distance between your dreams and reality is taking A.I.M.! Action ignites motivation! And that is exactly what a PRO does. He/She sets his/her mind to it and gets to work.
Do it like a P.R.O.!
- PRIORITIZE
- Get in the game of what you are after.
- If you keep chasing stuff that isn't getting you closer to your dream, you're chasing the wrong thing.
- Be willing to let unnecessary activities or commitments fall away.
- You don't have to do everything for everybody.
- Get in the game of what you are after.
- REGULATE
- Look for the possibilities and erase the probabilities.
- Get rid of what's getting in the way.
- You want to control what you can and then be open to what might come your way that's unscheduled.
- Look for the possibilities and erase the probabilities.
- OPTIMIZE
- What is working for you now?
- Don't give up just because you can.
- If something is working, why would you stop?
- What is working for you now?
Don't give up on your dream. Dreams take time, commitment, and consistency. You matter! And so does your dream. So get your mind out of the gutter.
