The Republican-controlled Mississippi House passed a bill to create a new court district in part of the capital city of Jackson with judges who would be appointed rather than elected.  So yes, a primarily white entity will appoint judges for one of the blackest cities in America.  Jackson's mayor, Chokwe Antar Lumumba, is here to explain how this will affect his community.

Republicans are having a fit over Biden's judicial appointments.  Some believe Biden is discriminating against those who do not vote for Democrats.
