In this week’s episode, Kelsey Creveling interviews Dr. Ron Jiménez. Ron is a board-certified physician in both Pediatrics and Clinical Informatics. Beyond clinical practice and teaching, he has taken on roles in consulting, business and leadership both in the private/public setting (Advisory Board Chair for a start up, Medical Informatics Director at Stanford Health and CMIO at a public hospital) and state level (on BoD for CA health information exchanges and at inception of CA statewide immunization registry). His current role is CEO of CodeScribe Corporation, which seeks to Democratize CPR ™ via Save the Beat ™, an app that will make access to basic CPR training ubiquitous and simple. He continues to care for children in the Pediatric Urgent Care setting.

Kelsey and Dr. Ron discuss everything from career balance, when to take on risks, how to handle stress and strife, and how to know when it’s time to make a change in the course of your career.
