Chow's perspective on this evolution is that it has become a significant and integral part of corporate agendas. Previously, ESG was seen as a side topic for companies to gain more credentials and marketing, but in recent years it has become a major focus for the majority of corporations globally. This shift has led to changes in the roles of chief compliance officers and internal management, with ESG now being elevated to their level of responsibility and accountability.
