This week on Black on Black Cinema, the guys return to begin the rough and honest discussion surrounding the Ava DuVernay directed series, "When They See Us." The four-part series, available on Netflix, is a narrative version of the events often referred to as the Central Park Five. "When They See Us," tells the story of five young boys in New York City in 1989 as they were wrongfully accused, jailed, and later exonerated for the gang rape of a white woman in Central Park. In this episode, the hosts will walk through episodes 3 and 4 of the series while relaying their opinions on the situations presented, the series' direction, acting, production, and real-world implications of the events shown.
