He wasn’t just an observer; he was a participant, an agent of chaos in a world already spiraling out of control.

From riding with the Hell’s Angels to turning a road trip into a nightmarish dissection of the American Dream, Thompson’s work was both a warning and a war cry. He saw America’s contradictions—its greed, its violence, its doomed idealism—and met them with his own sharp prose, endless vice, and an unwavering refusal to look away.
