• Ephesus was a major hub in the Roman Empire, filled with idolatry and pagan influence, making it a strategic location for the gospel.
• The first three chapters of Ephesians focus on identity—before Paul gives any commands, he first establishes who believers are in Christ.
• The phrase “in Christ” or “in Him” is repeated nine times in just a few verses, emphasizing that our true identity is found in Him, not in personal achievements or ethnic background.
