On this week's episode of The Cine-Files, Steve Morris and John Rocha conclude their Season of Rob Reiner with Part 2 of their discussion on STAND BY ME, his beloved coming of classic from 1986 starring Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Jerry O'Connell, Kiefer Sutherland and John Cusack, Based on Stephen King's 1982 novella The Body and adapted by Bruce A. Evans and Raynold Gideon (who were nominated for an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay), the film is set in the fictional town of Castle Rock, Oregon, in 1959 focusing on four boys who set out on a journey to find the dead body of a missing boy. Steve and John go thru the movie scene by scene and break down the direction, acting, storylines, cinematography, score, themes, message, philosophical debates and more.
