Dementia is not a single disease, but a general term for a set of symptoms caused by disorders that damage the brain. It involves a decline in cognitive abilities severe enough to interfere with daily life.
However, dementia isn’t just about the person affected. It is a shared experience; the person's loved ones often experience a complex mix of grief, stress, and emotional exhaustion as they watch the person they care about slowly change. All involved have some very important roles to play.
On this episode of The Neutral Wisdom Podcast, host Robert Shirley discusses dealing with dementia in a loved one and is joined by Miz Wiz.
