Case 115: Licking County Jail - The Closest thing to Hell

Described as “The Closest Thing to Hell,” on a sign made by an inmate incarcerated for stealing chickens, the Licking County Jail ceased operations in 1987 after 98 years of operation.

Experienced investigators and guests have captured full blown apparitions, recorded ghastly EVPs that chill to the bone, encountered disembodied voices, chanting and the slamming of jail cell doors.

 This place has had some very sensational, and memorable inmates, including Laura Devlin, who was given another name after her dastardly crime, so it’s highly likely that many of them will still be calling this place home.

In this episode of the True Hauntings Podcast we lock ourselves away with the dead and deadly inmates of Old Licking County Jail.
