He recounts his unlikely move to directing thanks to The Addams Family, how he almost persuaded Michael Jackson to do the music for The Addams Family Values, and how that led to Michael Jackson’s cameo in Men In Black II! Barry talks about Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and Vincent D’Onofrio in the Men In Black trilogy, and explains why Get Shorty is his favorite movie he’s ever made despite the difficult relationship with Gene Hackman!
