PACS system however is experiencing some issue, and even though the order messages were received successfully through the interface, the orders still did not show up in the PACS system. So after close to an hour, the emergency department calls up radiology to find out the status of the tests and when the procedure will be done. This is when PACS admin or user realizes that there might be an issue and they will contact IT department or open a task using online task reporting system.
