I did a session with some interior design students and one thing that came up was how did I get my first gigs as a consultant and I told them, that the worst thing someone can say to you is "No". Cold Calling (hate that term) or The Ask is about understanding how to bring value to the person you are talking to, not getting caught up in the Yes's you are getting so that the No's don't phase you.
