Reverential fear leads us to worship God, depart from evil, and develop a holy hatred for what destroys lives and souls.

The fear of the Lord gives us quick understanding to make righteous judgments not based on feelings or appearances and enables us to love what God loves while hating what God hates—not people, but the evil that harms them.
