Gut Check: The Real Impact of Alcohol w/ Samantha Lander, FDNP

Our guest today on The Health Detective Podcast, Samantha Lander (Sam), was actually one of the first guests we ever had on the show! But, let's be honest... Who remembers all the way back to episode 19?   With that said, we felt it was only right to get her back in the spotlight. From addiction, to serving prison time, to completely transforming her life and dedicating it to serving others through functional medicine, Sam has one of the most powerful journeys we've ever shared on this show.   In the beginning part of the episode, we review Sam's story. About halfway through, Detective Ev and her touch on the impacts of alcohol on the body (kinda), but end up getting into a LOT more than that. Samantha Lander, or Sam for short. Has had quite the journey and continues to create more chapters in that journey. She Is a St. Louis, MO-based single mom, recovering addict, prison survivor, personal trainer, functional diagnostic nutritionist, DJs, and entrepreneur. She published “Dream Big, Do bigger” and is an international best selling author. I don’t know if she would say this, but I would definitely say she’s not your typical health practitioner. Her vulnerability and empathy towards her clients sets her apart from the rest.

Sam used Functional Diagnostic Nutrition to heal herself from allergies, food sensitivities, heavy metals, mold, hormonal imbalances (PCOS), mouth trauma and infections and several parasites. She got sick and tired of being sick and tired. All the doctors said she was fine but she followed her gut.

She does a wide variety of service work for people in recovery to help keep her recovery strong. She’s also founder of SeeFit Living where she coaches people back to optimal health when they just can’t quite put their finger on why they feel bad. She is sort of a bad ass in many ways and is so open about her journey.

She helps educate people about health, diet, stress reduction, rest, and proper supplementation to identify the root cause of why they can't perform at their A game. She has been on over 50 podcast educating people through her own personal journey and education. She is an influencer on social media using that platform to help people learn about health and top products to add into your daily life to optimize your health. She is one of the most authentic and REAL woman in the industry.
