If you have never heard of Israel "DT" Del Toro, you're in for a treat. DT, as he's otherwise known, is a Retired US Air Force Senior Master Sergeant who spent twenty years as a Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Operator, an arm of the Air Force Special Warfare battery. While deployed earlier in his career, DT was wounded and sustained burns covering most of his body. He would spend 4 months in a coma recovering. With his family ceaselessly sticking beside him, he was able to return to Active Duty status and carry out his career until retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month and DT is quite the person to listen to when it comes to understanding resiliency, seeking help, breaking stigmas, and coming out on top!
