The cosy old jumper that is the Premier League returned – and what an opening weekend it was! Kate Mason, Pete Donaldson and 5’7” King Vish Ehantharajah settle in for a chat about some of the liveliest games from the opening round of fixtures.

Liverpool and Leeds United slugged it out at Anfield, while a much-improved Everton kept a listless Spurs at arm’s length. We also praise Newcastle’s debutants for actually looking decent, before reeling in confused horror at Damien Delaney’s proposal for a dinner party guestlist.
