Most of us are so busy and caught up in the world, that we tend to leave God behind.
Yet if you look over the last week, what activities and actions were you committed to?
This is just a peek into what you treasure; what matters to you.
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." ~ Matthew 6:21 (NIV)For some reason, it's easy for us as Christians to get too laid back into our daily interaction with God. Just because we accepted Jesus as our personal Savior, doesn't mean that we got it all put together.
In fact, we leave a lot on the table.
The K.I.S.S. ~ A heart burning bright!And that's the thing. God wants to be at our everyday table. He doesn't just want to show up for important events like weddings, births, deaths, Christmas, and Easter.
God wants to sit at your table every day!
He wants to know what matters to you. He wants to hear your hurts. He wants to heal your wounds. He wants to love you.
God treasures us, so He holds us in His heart.
But what about us?
Do you treasure your relationship with God enough to make time in your every day?
My daughter and grandson were in town as my son-in-love was away. For dinner, the family wanted pizza. So off we went to get pizza. Well, everyone else had the same idea. There was a 40-minute wait.
Some people wouldn't think about bringing God to buy pizza, but I did. I showed the workers grace and compassion. I encouraged them by acknowledging their hard work. But what they didn't see directly was my heart.
It wasn't about getting pizza, it was about where my heart shines bright and that's with God!
Life isn't always what we see, but who God places in our paths. Look beyond what you can see, and be ready to share the treasure; the treasure of God's love and grace.
Where your heart burns bright, that's where your treasure will be found.
