Daily Puck Drop w/ John Canzano, Mike Garafolo and Brad Adam. Pac-12 breaking news. Week 1 NFL and Mariners hope.

Today’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett starts off with the breaking news that the Pac-12 is expanding and grabbing teams from the Mountain West Conference.  John Canzano, JohnCanzano.com had the very latest on the current situation and he said don’t close the door on Cal and Stanford eventually being a part of the new look Pac-12. 

Mike Garaolo, NFL Network joined the show for his weekly conversation and Puck and Mike chatted about the week 1 results and whether or not Kirk Cousins is in jeopardy of losing his job to Michael Pennix Jr. very soon.  Seahawks play Atlanta in week 7, will Pennix be the starting QB by then?  The conversation shifts to the situation with Tyreek Hill.  They discussed how the situation was handled and say both sides could have done better and both Puck and Mike agreed that the officers shouldn’t lose their job. 

Brad Adam, ROOT Sports concluded Thursday’s guests with a breakdown of where the Mariners are at right now.  How much impact has Edgar Martinez made for the offense and would he consider staying on full-time next season under Dan Wilson?  The Mariners will no doubt look at trading one of their pitchers in the offseason, who is the most likely to be dealt…Luis Castillo or Logan Gilbert? Lastly, how much hope is still alive for the Mariners? 

We wrap up the show with “What the Puck?!”  Puck talks about how impressed he was with D.K. Metcalf during his Wednesday press conference and why Charley Hull is his Queen.
