Tens of thousands more Londoners are to be tested for Covid-19 in a bid to stem a rise in cases as the capital faces being plunged into Tier 3 restrictions. Our deputy political editor Nicholas Cecil says Health Secretary Matt Hancock has ordered the emergency action, which will see some of the extra 75,000 tests taking place as soon as this weekend.
