Running Free – Laufen in deinem Rhythmus | runventure® by Florian Reiter 🇬🇧 Ep. #17 In talk with Rickey Gates
Hello and a warm welcome to another episode of the runventure podcast.
Thank you for tuning in.
Today’s episode is a special premiere: for the first time, the conversation is entirely in English. My guest is Rickey Gates.
Rickey grew up in Aspen, Colorado. He loves the mountains, running, traveling, and most of all, meaningful encounters with people and other living beings.
He has been part of the Salomon Running Team for many years and has celebrated numerous successes in mountain, trail, and ultra running. His legs have carried him across countless countries around the world.
In recent years, Rickey has created incredibly inspiring and powerful projects. One of the most well-known is Cross Country, where he ran 3,700 miles from east to west across the United States. It was not about speed, but about real human connection.
In our conversation, we talk about his “Trail of Life,” what running truly means to him, rest days, dealing with injuries, running without a watch, trusting yourself, and much more.
