If you want to sell Canadians on a new tax, then don’t hand the money over to the richest people in the country who don't need it. We found out this week that Loblaws will get $12 million from the Trudeau government's Climate Action Fund. The fund is aimed at encouraging businesses to reduce their carbon footprint. Why is a multi-billion dollar company getting government handouts? Isn't the whole point of a carbon tax to give incentive to companies like Loblaws to change their bad habits to avoid a penalty?
