Ludwig Gartz is a German author who specialises in symbolic interpretations of literature. He interprets Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings as a rich allegory that reflecs modern issues such as the monetary system, power dynamics and cultural history.

The One Ring symbolises money while Sauron represents the elite who control it. Frodo embodies common sense and the struggle against temptation, whereas Sam stands for optimism and the enduring power of hope. Gandalf signifies wisdom and a connection to the divine, and the Ents represent inner peace and stillness.

Ludwig sees parallels between the narrative and real world socio-political

structures, to include the influence of what is now called the deep state.

He argues that Tolkien's work not only mirrors historical events, but also offers a roadmap for personal and societal transformation through spiritual

reorientation. This suggests a hopeful future despite present challenges.
