The world of sport has witnessed the rise in Saudi-backed investment, whether that be via football clubs like Newcastle United, hosting major boxing events, the creation of LIV Golf or the recent announcement of the first Saudi Arabia snooker invitational.

Now the gambling sector has witnessed a rise in Saudi’s neighbour, the United Arab Emirates, which only last year launched a new regulatory authority to manage and licence the industry.
