Domestic football is now back on our TV screens, and as always this has been accompanied by commercial potential and developments that have likely flown under the radar for some.

However, this of course is of massive interest to us at SBC - and the recent news that the Serie A betting data rights to the 2024/25 season will be going to tender particularly caught our attention.

It is not yet clear who will be bidding for the rights, but we can assume current holder Stats Perform will be keen to retain Serie A as part of its impressive international portfolio. But in a sport where fortunes change at the drop of a hat, how significant are the Serie A data rights in comparison to other leagues?
