So to talk the last day of the window, and look back on pre-season and look ahead to the new campaign, Liverpool season-ticket holders Sean Bradbury, Dan Kay and Paul Philbin join host Paul Wheelock for our latest View from the Kop podcast.
The Reds have impressed both on and off the pitch during the summer in a manner that Sean, Dan and Paul Philbin believe befits a big club. Indeed, apart from the pursuit of a certain Lyon midfielder, the trio struggle to think of any major dramas since the Champions League final. Dan is a little concerned, though, that a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s squad has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.
However, the mood is overwhelmingly positive, with all three praising the 17-year-old Scouser who has played his way into Klopp’s plans, and the less heralded new signing who Paul reckons could have an impact similar to Yossi Benayoun.
