Ep. 886: Climbing Volcanoes for Good - Angie Marie

Mountaineering: Angie's 2022 Adventure Fundraiser for The Cairn Project – climbing five Cascade Volcanoes including Mt. Rainier, raising grants for girls' wilderness programs, documenting the journey to make mountaineering more accessible for women, and inspiring deeper potential in mind and body.

Everybody loves a summit selfie. But most people don't get to peer into the infinite behind-the-scenes moments before and after the shutter snaps-- which is where the true magic happens!

In 2022, Angie volunteered for a nonprofit called The Cairn Project to raise grant funding for community organizations that offer wilderness experiences to girls and gender-expansive youth. Her "Adventure Fundraiser" involved climbing five Cascade Volcanoes in Oregon and Washington (including Mt. Rainier), as well as documenting the journey to make mountaineering more accessible to other women.

The values and processes of outdoor journeys compel Angie to dig deeper into what's possible for her mind and body— and her mission is to inspire others to do the same.
