My guest for Episode 74 of The Startup Playbook Podcast is serial founder, CTO and startup advisor Martin Wells.
Martin is a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience as a Founder, CTO, VP Product and VP Engineering focused on building and growing digital products and services and having successfully founded and exited 3 businesses.
Some of the many highlights of Martin’s career include:
- Founding Intercom, one of Australia’s first Internet Service Providers,
- Managing a team of 45 as Founder & CTO of Dot Communications which was acquired by Clarity in 2007
- VP Product of chat service migme, where he helped grow the product to 50 million users
- Founder and CTO of Playcraft Labs: a high-performance HTML5 game engine with 15,000 developers which was acquired by MinoGames in February 2013.
- At MinoGames, he was the Lead Engineer/CTO on MinoMonsters, an iOS and Android game achieving more than 15 million downloads and #1 grossing rank in 22 countries
He now spends the majority of his time as an Advisor to more than 30 companies, raising over $200m in VC funding and assisting in 10 acquisitions
