My guest for Episode 103 of The Startup Playbook Podcast is Australian business leader, Viki Forrest.

At the time of this recording, Viki was the CEO of ANZA Technology. Since then, she taken on a new role as the Queensland Trade and Investment Commissioner for North America, to promote and facilitate inward and outward trade and investment between the two regions.

Prior to this role, Viki had joined an early stage technology company helping it expand from 5 to over 100 people and open up it’s presence in the US before the company ultimately shut down.

Since then, Viki has played a vital role in helping Australian startups break into and raise capital from the US market as the CEO of ANZA Technology over the last 14 years.

In this interview we discussed a range of topics including:

• Differences between operating in a short term and long term market
• How to break into and raise capital in the US
