He found Vinnie around 2013 -- he was following Abel James. It resonated with him and he listened to Fitness Confidential several times. Then he became a die-hard podcast listener. In 2013, Don was around 265 lbs at 5'8.5". He was not happy, his dad had just passed, and he did not want to end up like his father who was in poor health at the end. His father, who was not very overweight, did have inflammation and ended up having a massive heart attack that killed him. It took Don awhile to find the truth -- but once he did, it changed his life. Don appreciated that Vinnie quoted doctors, brought on experts, and the like. Then, Don could analyze the information for himself and make an educated decision. He ended up choosing NSNG®. At a point, he gave it up and ballooned back up to 300 lbs. Then, he got it all under control again. In part, he thinks it was because of his involvement in beer brewing. But he became emotional -- how did he get back to this point? Don then went back to the basics and went in 100%. In 2017, he was in ketosis, intermittent fasting, and the whole shebang.
