Encouraging someone when they've hit a wall and are frustrated is, of course, a good thing. Reminding them that it's "always darkest before the dawn" and "change is right around the corner" is also helpful. But there are times these encouraging words just aren't enough. When someone is brutally honest and says, "I know. But I've been here so many times." They are tired of the cycle. We all know that cycle. We hit a wall, we pick ourselves up, only to find ourselves at that same frustrating point later on.
