On today’s episode, we’re chatting with Josh Lahre and Joe Smetona Co-Founders & Partners at AEC Advisors.

Josh Lahre

Josh’s entire career has been dedicated to the AEC industry, advising clients on mergers & acquisitions, capitalization, internal stock valuation, and ownership transition issues. He is also a frequent keynote speaker at industry conferences, seminars, and webinars.

Prior to AEC Advisors, Josh was a Senior Vice President at EFCG, where he had worked for 11 years. He graduated from Harvard University and played varsity soccer.

Joe Smetona

Throughout Joe’s career, he has focused on corporate finance, investment analysis, mergers & acquisitions and financial sponsor advisory.

Prior to AEC Advisors, Joe worked in several corporate finance advisory and investing roles, including as a Vice President at EFCG, an investment associate at a family office, and a Capital Markets Analyst at CIT Group.

Joe graduated from Columbia University (MS in Operations Research) and Case Western University (BSE in Mechanical Engineering and BA in Philosophy). He was also the varsity captain of the Case Western tennis team.

And for the sake of full disclosure, I’ve had the pleasure of working with AEC Advisors for the past few years on various video and photography projects, and they’re just one of my favorite teams in the industry. Josh & Joe it’s great to see you!
