Casan Evans delivered the best outing of his career, striking out 15 and completely shutting down Oklahoma in a 7-1 win at Alex Box Stadium. The sophomore had everything working—fastball command, a sharp breaking ball and a disappearing changeup—as the Sooners had no answers all night.

Meanwhile, LSU took full advantage of Oklahoma’s mistakes, scoring four runs in the second inning without recording a hit thanks to three Sooner errors and shaky command from former Tiger Cam Johnson, who walked six in just 1.1 innings.

It wasn’t a perfect night offensively—LSU went just 3-for-18 with runners in scoring position and left 10 on base—but timely hits from Zach Yorke and others helped extend the lead late.
