Cal has co-founded two successful startups, with his co-founder Stewart Butterfield, from the ashes of failed video games.

Initially, he co-founded photo sharing application Flickr which was acquired by Yahoo! Today he’s Co-founder and CTO of Slack and looks after the technology behind the growing platform.

Slack is a team collaboration and communication tool that publicly listed on NYSE in 2019 and has a market cap of $18B (as of June 2020).
