In 1961, the U.S. barely knew how to stay in space, and John F. Kennedy publicly committed to landing a man on the moon within the decade. That wasn't inspiration. That was leadership through a forcing function.

Today we break down the real lesson behind the moonshot: bold, time-bound vision creates focus, and focus creates scale. Incremental goals make you try harder. Transformational goals make you become different. When the objective is big enough and visible enough, you're forced to eliminate distractions, prioritize what actually matters, and align your behavior around a new identity.

Most entrepreneurs are stuck chasing 20% improvement while wondering why nothing truly changes. Scaling isn't about doing more; it's about subtracting what doesn't matter and making one thing the thing.

Your job as a leader isn't to predict the future. It's to declare one and then live in a way that makes it inevitable.
